Chicks refer to the newly hatched chicks, generally 0-21 days of age as the incubation period, is the most vigorous stage of chick growth and development, but also the most critical period, any improper feeding and management measures will make the growth and development of chicks blocked or lead to death.
1. Control temperature and humidity
Control temperature and humidity

The maintenance temperature and humidity are very important for the survival rate and growth of chicks. High or low temperature will affect the activities of chicks, feeding, drinking water and feed digestion and absorption, so this stage should ensure the appropriate temperature.
With the growth of chickens, their ability to regulate their body temperature is enhanced, and the temperature drops about 2℃ every week under controllable conditions. The temperature difference between day and night in the chicken house is controlled at 0.5℃ ~ 1℃
2. Appropriate forced air ventilation
Appropriate forced air ventilation

Under the condition of ensuring the appropriate temperature of the chicken house, natural ventilation should be used as much as possible for full ventilation. In the colder season, underground air supply channel and skylight should be used for ventilation, so as to avoid cold wind blowing directly on the chicken body. The air quality in the house should be free from dust and peculiar smell.
3. Reasonable illumination
Reasonable illumination

Providing suitable illumination time and intensity for chickens is an important measure to improve the growth rate and survival rate of chickens. The illumination in the chicken house should be evenly distributed, and the illumination intensity should be changed from strong to weak during the whole feeding period.
4. Timely expansion of
Timely expansion of

According to the growth and development of the chickens, the flock should be expanded timely. Stocking density is directly related to the growth and development of commercial broiler chickens, too high stocking density leads to uneven ontogeny, weak body, easy disease and higher mortality. Feeding density is too small, resulting in waste of human and material resources. Therefore, the density of chickens should be adjusted in time and the chickens with slow growth and poor growth should be eliminated.
5. Bedding management
Bedding management

Cushion material requirements soft, dry, strong water absorption, thickness should be 5 ~ 10 cm and basically the same, do not expose the ground, often turn cushion material, to prevent caking and must be kept dry at any time. It is generally required that the moisture content of cushion material is 20% ~ 30%. The wet pad around the sink and bucket should be removed frequently and replaced with dry and fresh pad. Padding is best not to reuse.
Take chicken to disinfect 1 ~ 2 times a day, use different kinds of disinfectant alternately, in order to eliminate different kinds of pathogenic microorganisms and prevent them from producing drug resistance. Clean and disinfect water fountain twice a day; Clean feces and sewage once a day.
Eliminate mice and mosquito cochlea, prohibit other livestock and wild birds into the chicken coop.
